Cole Extend Contract Until 2013

Chelsea, for the umpteenth time, managed to retain key players. Following the team's captain John Terry, Ashley Cole decided to stay at Stamford Bridge until the next four seasons.

In his official site, such as in writing goal.com, Thursday (9/3/2009), club officials released a statement: "With pride, Chelsea FC announced Ashley Cole has signed a contract extension with a duration of four years."

Previously, the Daily Express had called Cole nearly tied the Blues with a five-year contract. Salary is estimated at 120 thousand pounds per week.

Some time ago, Cole himself admitted at home at Stamford Bridge, especially after the arrival of new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

"This is my fourth season together here. The relationship among us was like family. I felt a tremendous spirit and much better than before," Cole said at the time.
