Official Terry Extend Contract

Out Manchester City are hoping to recruit Chelsea captain John Terry. Original skipper the Blues education is agreed to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge until five years into the future.

Besides getting an additional contract contract five seasons, Terry also will get a raise to 160,000 pounds a week and make highest-paid player in Premier League history.

"Chelsea is proud to confirm that John Terry has signed a contract extension of five years duration that would make it a Chelsea player until 2013-2014," the statement Chelsea camp through the official club website quoted Sky Sports, Monday (8/31/2009).

"This news also emphasized both Terry and Chelsea are very keen for John to spend his career at Stamford Bridge football," added the club statement.

With the completion of this contract, then the chance of Terry became the third Chelsea player who spent all his football career at Stamford Bridge. England national team captain is to follow his predecessor, Tommy Law and Ken Shelto that both plays as a full back, and played 319 times for over a decade devoted to Chelsea.
